The Constraint
Most of us do our best to address what we can see.

What sits beneath them is often a constraint.
A constraint is a limitation within the structure itself. A limitation that influences what can be perceived, considered, tolerated, chosen, and acted upon.
It shapes attention. It creates blind spots. It narrows what appears possible.
And because we often live from within the structure, with the constraint operating outside awareness, we rarely recognise the extent to which it influences perception, decision-making, behaviour, and action.
The challenge is that the constraint does not announce itself as a constraint. We often do not know it's there. So we can be forgiven for thinking of these situations as ore like fate. This is 'Just Life"
Choice
You don't need a better strategy. Not if you are making decisions from within a structure that has already limited what you can see, and collapsed possibilities into only what the structure can tolerate.
When choice expands, possibilities multiply.
Constraints narrow choice.
They influence what we can perceive, what we can tolerate, what we believe is realistic, and what we are willing to pursue. They shape priorities, attention, decision-making, and action. Over time, what is constrained comes to feel normal, and the business adapts around the limitation.
As constraints become visible and loosen, choice expands.
And when choice expands, possibilities multiply.
New opportunities become visible. Better decisions become possible. Energy and resources can be directed where they create the greatest return. Complexity becomes easier to navigate. Trade-offs become clearer. Problems that once required force become easier to solve. Growth no longer depends upon doing more, but upon having access to a wider range of responses.
This is what creates leverage. Because sustainable business growth rarely comes from trying harder inside the same structure. It comes from expanding what can be seen, considered, and acted upon.
