Captured Clarity Process; An Overview for SME
Updated: Aug 13, 2021
Clarity facilitates a powerful state of poise, clear decision making and a sense of inspired action. If you're a business owner, you have no doubt experienced moments of clarity, and the frustration that comes when it's nowhere to be found.
I deeply value and respect what Clarity can do for a business owner and their business. It is the very first step in our S.T.E.P. Method. And having engaged hundreds of business owners over the decades, an efficient systematic process emerged.

What follows is an overview of the Captured Clarity Process that we use with business leaders
Captured Clarity Process produces a strategic and actionable plan in 3 core areas: .
1. Marketing - one output is that you get a solid Marketing Plan
2. Operational - another output is a high level Operational Plan
3. Execution - another output is that you have a clear understanding of the executional plan for you and your business for the immediate 30 to 90-days.
This process facilitates clarity for both business intention and commercial targets.
The business intention is the longer term ideal End in Mind. This is typically 2 to 100 years into the future. The first flag we put in the ground. The End in Mind with which all other activity will support.
The commercial targets are explored, calculated, and defined 12-months out.
This involves a set of formulas, basic maths, in order to reveal real revenue targets to anchor growth efforts.
Then we get clear on the Evidence that shows up in the business 6-months from now to prove the 12-month targets are being realised.
Then we focus on where we are today; what we have, what is missing, and prioritising both those lists so when it comes to bridging the gap, we are consistently pursuing the highest valued actions possible.
The next 30 to 90-days are focused on delivering two outcomes:
1. Bridging the gap that ensures the business is standing on solid ground as it enters the starting line. This phase is very much about building the foundation for which your growth efforts will emerge from.
2. Proactively pursuing growth with and for your ideal audience.
The output of the Captured Clarity Process is literally captured in a one page poster that lives on your wall; or a place where you are able to continuously see it as a reminder of where you are going, where you are today, the highest valued actions you can focus on today, and how the bigger picture fits together to make the bumps and obstacles that will no doubt show up along the way, part of your journey.

How the Parts of the Captured Clarity Process flow:
3-year Intention - defines the ideal scenario for the business (and the leader(s)) 3 years or 100 years). (into the future. This is a clearly resonant intention best described in 2 or 3 sentences max.
12-month Targets - defines the exact revenue target that is optimal for the business to pursue in tandem with other commercial and leadership targets. The 12-month targets are fantasy tested to ensure that your 5million target is as grounded as it is visionary. A great way to sense check this quickly is to consider that your investment, amortised over 12-months is 10% of that total revenue target. If that 10% makes you feel unwell, chances are your Revenue target is more fantasy than inspired vision and warrants a re-work.
6-months Evidence - defines the exact evidence that will exist n the business to prove the 12-month targets are being realised. This acts as the primary milestone for the plan, allowing further milestones to be set between 6-months and 1-month from starting point.
Right here. Right now - Take stock of your exact position resolving: what we have in place now, what we are missing, and the priority of activities to action, considering our 6-month milestone. Map out the resources, key dates, and current status for each task that is required to happen between now and 6-months from now to produce the evidence the business needs to prove the 12-month targets, to realise the ideal End in Mind.
Immediate 16 weeks - The highest valued actions we can take to move the business show up here. The first 30-days are usually about building the foundation the business needs to facilitate growth. For example; your website acting like a sales tool, not a marketing brochure. Your online presence being bang in the center of where your ideal client lives today.

The process is inspired by the most efficient ecosystem we can find for growth; nature. The science we leverage in our approach includes:
structural tension
polarities
the laws of equanimity, and
kinetic, static and potential energy
All to allow for a result that is both inspired and grounded, sustainable and profitable, strategic and tactical.
Namaste kids!
